Up for sale, a 1993 Greco “Clear Sound Project” AN-18 in excellent, 100% original condition and in perfect working order. An exceedingly rare top tier model produced at the Fujigen factory in Japan and costing a whopping 180,000 yen, this Johnny Smith-inspired archtop boasts a 17" lower bout width, heavily figured flame maple back and sides, Venetian cutaway, a pair of “JST” floating mini humbuckers, and a gloss Blonde/Natural finish with premium appointments throughout.
Weighing 7lbs 2oz, additional tonewoods include a solid spruce top and a two-piece maple neck with a bound ebony fingerboard. Outfitted with the original pair of “JST” mini humbuckers, this Greco delivers both exquisite acoustic performance and a detailed, dynamic plugged-in sound. The guitar offers excellent natural midrange chop and breadth, with round, woody lows and focused, sparkling trebles. This AN-18 benefits from a professional setup here at Mike & Mike’s Guitar Bar with 10-48 flatwound strings, low action, and accurate intonation.
